I was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I live in Centerville with my husband, Jon and our four boys, Cameron, Isaac, Caleb, and Austin. In my free time I love to read, draw, and go running. My favorite color is green.
I graduated with Honors from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I earned the Teacher of Tomorrow Award in November 2016 from UASCD. I was one of the district's New-Teacher Leaders, and I recently received my Masters in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix.
I strongly believe in building trusting relationships with students to create a positive learning environment. I believe in designing instruction to support a variety of learning styles to address student's strengths, interests, and needs. I use positive reinforcement to motivate students by providing opportunities to earn rewards with their small groups. I expect students to be prepared, show respect, follow directions, and participate.
